BERLIN — Katie Fox had 28 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for Lakota West, which knocked off Toledo Central Catholic 65-56 in the Classic in the Country.
The Firebirds (9-3) erased a 21-14 first-quarter deficit with a strong second quarter. Lakota West took a 32-25 lead into the half and was able to hold on down the stretch.
Lily Johnson and Caroline Bayliff each bucketed 13 points for the Firebirds, who have won four in a row and seven out of their last eight.
Catholic Central (6-4) was led by Corniya Clay’s 23 points and Brooklyn Vaughn had 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Lakota West faces Toledo Notre Dame today at 4 p.m. in the Classic in the Country.

TRENTON — Maddy Judd scored a game-high 24 points, Rylie Homan broke the school record for assists and Edgewood beat Ross 53-38 on Saturday in Southwestern Buckeye League play. Ross beat Edgewood 60-49 at Ross in the first meeting on Dec. 2.

MIDDLETOWN — Lakota East (8-5, 7-1 GMC) has won six out of their last seven games and currently sits in third place in the Greater Miami Conference. Middletown (4-10, 2-8 GMC) has lost four in a row and six out of its last seven.

COLERAIN TWP. — Ah’Marionya Kirkland had 13 points and nine rebounds and Amaginn Beamon added 11 points in Hamilton’s eighth straight loss. Big Blue (2-12, 1-9 GMC) outscored the Cardinals 19-14 in the third quarter, but Colerain (2-10, 1-7 GMC) closed it out in the fourth.
