Badin Rams
Tom Sunderman enters his 16th season as head coach of the Badin High School girls basketball team.
The Rams went 24-3 last season, reaching the regional finals.
Badin returns Braelyn Even, Gracie Cosgrove and Ashley Pate. Pate started the first 11 games last season. Evan averaged 14.7 points and 8.5 rebounds a game last season, while Cosgrove contributed 13.3 points a game.
Shelby Mulcare is the only other returner with floor time.
Brooke Sebastian is out with a torn ACL and may be back the first of the year, according to Sunderman. Badin has minimal experience from the rest of its roster.
“We are a very young team — one that reminds me of our 2020-21 team,” Sunderman said. “We have a solid foundation to build on but will be developing players most of the first half of the season with the goal to make a run second half of the season.
“We are long and athletic and will still play an up-tempo pressure style on both ends. We have girls who have been a part of our success the last 3 years, but they need to teach it to the younger players and what it takes to achieve that.”
