ROUNDUP: Madison moves win streak to eight games with victory over Eaton

MADISON 40, EATON 13

MADISON TWP. — Madison held Eaton scoreless in the first quarter and to five points in the second half to secure a Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division victory over Eaton on Thursday night.

The Mohawks (9-2, 5-1 SWBL) are on an eight-game winning streak and host Blanchester on Monday. The Eagles (1-10, 1-6 SWBL) visit Preble Shawnee the same day.

LEBANON 54, WINTON WOODS 46

FOREST PARK — Lebanon led 24-15 at the half before closing out its Eastern Cincinnati Conference victory over Winton Woods on Thursday night.

Lebanon (10-3, 6-2 ECC) has won five in a row and eight out of its last nine games. Lebanon has beaten Winton Woods (8-3, 7-2 ECC) two consecutive times.

The Lebanon Warriors host Springboro at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Daniah Trammell had 20 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Winton Woods Warriors, who host Mount Notre Dame at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

ROSS 49, URSULINE 27

ROSS TWP. — Ross led 25-13 at the half and was able to hold on against Ursuline on Thursday night for its third-straight victory.

The Rams (8-4) host Little Miami at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

MONROE 46, CLINTON MASSIE 32

CLARKSVILLE — Saffron Weidner knocked down five 3-pointers and scored 18 points, Paityn Corthell added 17 and Monroe stormed out to a 20-3 first-quarter lead on its way to beat Clinton Massie on Thursday night.

The Hornets (6-6) snapped a two-game losing streak and have beaten the Falcons (4-8) five consecutive times. Monroe visits Talawanda at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

GOSHEN 67, FRANKLIN 39

GOSHEN — Franklin was held to just three points in the final quarter of its non-conference loss at Goshen on Thursday night.

The Wildcats (3-8) have lost eight out of their last nine games after starting the season off 2-0. Franklin travels to Oakwood at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
