HAMILTON — After finishing runner up in 2022-23, and getting to the elite eight in 2023-24, Coach Mike Piatt at Miami Hamilton continues to have the same expectations for his team heading into 2024-25.

Under the leadership of Coach Piatt, he has had a 58-30 overall record during his time as the Harriers Head Coach.

One of the biggest goals established for his team is to get back to the USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association) national tournament, where his team has been incredibly successful.

Miami Hamilton also plays with one of the toughest schedules in the entire country for the past few years, as it is best for his team to play tough competition and to succeed against tough competition for his teams to get back to the national tournament.

A few players to keep an eye out for this season for Miami Hamilton include Michael Keehan, a senior out of Cincinnati Elder, a four year starter and a team captain for the Harriers. A great player on both sides of the ball, he also “does a lot of things that don’t really show up in the stat sheets.” He is able to help his team win when he is needed.

Then they have Junior Cory Davis out of Mason high school who was the team’s rebounder, and second leader scorer for the Harriers, as these two look to lead the way for the Harriers this season.

The Harriers have a lot of talent coming in this season that they are looking forward to. Recruiting as well has also been very well for the Harriers, as they will add Bryson Curry and Hakeem Smith out of Lakota West, Chauncey Brashers and Allen Mallory out of Lutheran East, Carter Burg out of Northwest, and Carter Yarbrough out of Hopewell-Louden.

The Miami Hamilton Harriers kick off their season on Nov 1st and Nov 2nd, as they will be participating in the Commodore Classic at Lorain Community College.

The Harriers first home game is set for November 26th as they take on rival Miami-Middletown.

Coach Piatt encourages the fans to come on out to Miami Hamilton to cheer on the Harriers, as they look to get back in the USCAA national tournament.
