GOSHEN VS. BADIN AT FAIRFIELD

No. 1 seed Badin (10-0), ranked second in the state, will look to embark on another dominant postseason quest when it faces No. 16 Goshen (3-7) on Friday in a Division III playoff opener at Fairfield Alumni Stadium. … The Rams lost to Tippecanoe in the regional final last season, Chardon in the state final in 2021 and Alter in the regional semifinal in 2020. … The current Badin seniors have gone 45-3 since the 2020 season. … Senior running back Zach Yordy capped off a 95-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown run on a fourth-down play in the final seconds to help the Rams beat Greater Catholic League Coed rival McNicholas 38-35. It solidified Badin’s fourth consecutive perfect regular season and 38th straight regular season victory. … The Warriors, based out of the Southern Buckeye Athletic Academic Conference, won their last two games to sneak in the postseason. … Warriors senior quarterback Logan Haley has thrown for 1,029 yards, 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He’s rushed for 514 yards and an additional five scores. Freshman Camden Telinda has rushed for 776 yards and 11 scores for Goshen, which averages 18.7 points a game and gives up 37.2 a contest. Junior linebacker Grant Herndon leads the team with 69 tackles. … The Rams own both the best offense and defense in the GCL Coed — scoring 31.8 points a game and surrendering just 12.3 a contest. … Rams senior quarterback Alex Ritzie has thrown for 1,651 yards and 14 touchdowns. Senior receiver Aidan Brown is his go-to target with 39 receptions for 567 yards and nine TD catches. Senior linebacker Nate Ostendorf leads Badin with 102 tackles and six sacks.

SYCAMORE AT HAMILTON 

The No. 7 Big Blue (7-3) host the No. 10 Aviators (5-5) in a Division I playoff opener at Virgil Schwarm Stadium. Hamilton knocked off Sycamore 28-21 in Week 9 on a last-second kickoff return by Jailen Morris. The Big Blue has won four out of the last five meetings against the Aviators.

WESTERN HILLS AT LAKOTA WEST 

The No. 3 Firebirds (8-2) host the No. 14 Mustangs (4-6) in a Division I playoff opener at Firebird Stadium. Lakota West, which fell to Moeller in the regional finals last season, is currently on an eight-game winning streak. 

MIDDLETOWN AT PRINCETON 

The No. 15 Middies (3-7) hit the road to face the No. 2 Vikings (10-0) in a Division I playoff opener. Middletown lost to Princeton 41-15 in Week 8. The Middies have lost five in a row and seven out of their last eight. Princeton, the state’s third-ranked team, has won eight straight against Middletown.

FAIRFIELD AT MILFORD 

The No. 16 Indians (3-7) travel to face the No. 1 Eagles (10-0) in a Division I playoff opener. Fairfield has won two in a row, including last week’s 49-7 rout of Colerain. Milford, the Eastern Cincinnati Conference champion, is ranked fourth in the state.

EDGEWOOD AT WITHROW 

The No. 14 Cougars (4-6) visit the No. 3 Tigers (9-1) in a Division II playoff opener. Withrow is ranked sixth in the state. Edgewood has won two in a row and three out of its last four.

MADISON AT CHILLICOTHE ZANE TRACE 

The No. 13 Mohawks (4-6) make a near-two-hour trip to face the No. 4 Pioneers (7-3) in a Division V playoff opener. Madison has lost six in a row after starting the season off at 4-0. Zane Trace has won seven out of its last eight.
