Accuracy first
We verify before we publish. We attribute our sources, represent them fairly, and distinguish clearly between confirmed fact and developing information.
Independence
Our coverage is decided by the newsroom alone. Advertising and outside interests never shape what we report or how we report it. Advertising is always clearly labelled.
Fairness
We give people a fair chance to respond, we avoid sensationalism, and we treat the subjects of our reporting — and our readers — with respect.
Accountability
