47 Cars Smashed in One Night at Atlanta Building, and This Resident’s First Worry Wasn’t His Window but His Kindle and a Fantasy Novel

ATLANTA, GEORGIA — An Atlanta man woke up to discover his car had been broken into, then realized the damage went far beyond his own vehicle. He says 47 cars in his building were hit in what he called a “mass break-in.”

Chase Keller, a book content creator known for reviews, hauls and reading picks, shared his morning in a TikTok video that drew about 388,200 views, 51,600 likes and close to 700 comments.

Banana First, Damage Second

Chase opened his vlog by explaining he had just learned his car was broken into. Before heading out to inspect it, he calmly ate a banana.

His biggest concern was not the car itself but what was inside: his Kindle and a copy of Matt Dinniman’s “The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook.”

Shattered Windows Everywhere

As he walked through the garage, he quickly saw he was not alone. Multiple cars had broken windows.

In his caption, he said a total of 47 vehicles were hit, adding a pointed jab: “So much for the security!”

What Was Taken and What Wasn’t

Here is what Chase found when he checked his car:

  • Kindle: Safe
  • Book: Safe
  • Class ring: Missing

He joked that the thieves had no idea what they could have taken, while admitting his class ring appeared to be gone and asking what anyone can really do in a situation like this.

He wrapped up the video by giving the break-in a rating of 4 out of 10.

Viewers Love His Calm Energy

Many viewers were amazed by how relaxed he stayed. One jokingly asked what anxiety medication he was on because they wanted the same energy. Another loved that he made time for a banana before checking the damage.

Fellow Book Lovers Get It

His book-loving followers fully understood his priorities. One said they loved that the Kindle and book came first, while still apologizing for the damage. Another admitted they would have had a full panic attack if their Kindle had been in the car.

No Suspects Yet

So far, no suspects have been identified, and there has been no official report on the break-ins. The building’s management has not commented on how 47 cars could be hit in one night.
