ROUNDUP: Monroe, Badin advance in girls volleyball

Girls Volleyball

KINGS 3, FAIRFIELD 0 

The Indians hung with the top-seeded Knights before falling in three straight sets 25-23, 25-19, 25-12 on Tuesday. Fairfield finished the season at 14-11.

BADIN 3, FENWICK 0

The Rams won 29-27, 25-16, 25-20 and will face Springfield Kenton Ridge in a Division II district final on Saturday at Fairmont. Badin (18-7) has won five in a row and eight out of its last nine. The Falcons finished the season at 18-7.

MONROE 3, EATON 1

The Hornets won 25-19, 25-17, 19-25, 26-24 on Tuesday, which moved their winning streak to five games. Monroe (18-6) will face Roger Bacon in a Division II district final on Saturday at Fairmont.

Boys Soccer

MOELLER 7, FAIRFIELD 0

The Indians ended their season with a 10-9 record. Fairfield completed its first 10-win season since 2017.

ANDERSON 2, LAKOTA WEST 1

Ryan Boyd found Garret Marchand, who scored the Firebirds’ lone goal in their Division I tournament loss on Tuesday. Jason Teismann scored two goals to pace Anderson, which outshot West 15-11. The Firebirds finished 11-5-3.

BEAVERCREEK 2, MONROE 1

Ashton Kuss scored the lone goal for the Hornets, who saw their season end on Tuesday. Zachary Oborne got the assist for Monroe, which finished at 9-3-5. 

OAKWOOD 2 (5-2 PKs), BADIN 1

Brayden Eldridge scored the Rams’ lone goal in their Division II tournament loss to the Lumberjacks on Tuesday. Rowan Brown had the assist for Badin, which fell in penalty kicks 5-2. The Rams finished 14-4-1.

MARIEMONT 2, FENWICK 1

The Falcons saw their season come to a close on Tuesday night, finishing with a 7-7-5 record.

SEVEN HILLS 7, CIN. CHRISTIAN 1

The Cougars saw their season end in a Division III tournament loss to the Stingers on Tuesday. CCS finished 8-8-1.
