OXFORD — The Miami University football team had a stellar weekend on the verbal commitment scene.
Here is a look at the seven Class of 2025 recruits the RedHawks pulled in:
Anthony Ludington, DL, Lawrence North
Ludington had 56 total tackles and 10 sacks his junior season at Lawrence North located in Indianapolis. He is also a standout baseball player.
Ludington had other MAC offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Kent State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan.
Logan Howell, DL, Cass Technical
Howell had an official visit to Miami on June 21 and committed the day after. He is a standout defensive lineman from Cass Technical located in Detroit.
Howell racked up plenty of offers from other MAC schools, as well as offers from Howard, Western Illinois, Grand Valley State and Marshall.
Tyler Williams, DB, Munford
Williams is a standout defensive back from Munford located in Tennessee.
He had other offers from Middle Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, Ball State, Alabama State, Austin Peay and Akron.
Isaiah Rollins, DB, Warren Central
Rollins is defensive back and track and field standout from Warren Central located in Indianapolis. He took an official visit to Oxford over the weekend before making his verbal commitment.
Jameil Hamm, DL, Glenville
Hamm took part in the 247Sports 2024 National Combine in Texas, where he was named to the All-Combine Team.
Hamm played at St. Edward as a freshman before transferring to Glenville his sophomore year. He had 28 tackles and seven sacks to help Glenville win its second-straight state title.
Hamm had other offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Kent State, Buffalo, Ohio, Toledo, Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan.
Cairo Skanes, DB, Providence Bay
Skanes had 83 total tackles and six interceptions his junior season for Providence Bay, located in North Carolina.
Skanes, an All-State defensive back, had numerous other offers — including Appalachian State, Charlotte, Richmond, Mercer, Navy, Troy, Princeton, North Carolina A&T, Delaware, Furman, Wofford, Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn and Charleston Southern.
DJ Avery, WR, Chattahoochee
Avery is a first-team All-State wide receiver and defensive back from Georgia. He had 51 catches for 857 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior.
Avery had other interests from Appalachian State, Austin Pay, Cornell, East Carolina, Kansas State, Oregon State and UMass.
