WEST CHESTER TWP. — The Lakota West girls soccer team won the Greater Miami Conference for the first time since 2004 — in undefeated fashion.
The Firebirds finished GMC play at 8-0-1 with their 2-0 victory over Oak Hills on Tuesday night, giving Lakota West its first unbeaten regular season team in school history at 12-0-2.
Lakota West junior Kailyn Dudukovich finished the regular season with a GMC-leading 35 goals. She also had 7 assists. Junior Sydney Jones had 9 goals and 13 assists during the regular season, while teammates Maya Martir (8 goals, 6 assists) and Brooke Brockman (5 goals, 5 assists) also chipped in.
The Firebirds take on Northwest on Monday at 7 p.m. at Lakota West in the opening round of Division I postseason play.
