Closing Pitchers — Erik Ronquist (0-1, 11 SO), Jacob Boland.
Notable Statistics — Ty Cunningham (19 hits, 15 runs, .317), Josh Isaacs (17 hits, 23 RBI, 1 HR) and Noah Wagster (27 hits, 25 runs, 12 SB, .333) had stellar performances on the offensive side of things last season.
Coach’s Comments — “This team is excited about the challenge of playing a GMC schedule. If we can stay healthy throughout the season, we believe we can be a difficult team to play day in and day out. After a fun tournament run in 2022, concluding with a district championship, this group would like to experience exciting moments as well. … Our 2023 Fairfield squad has a competitive spirit about them. They are coming together as we finish up the scrimmage season and head into the regular season. It’s a balanced squad, which should allow for consistency throughout the course of the year. Sometimes that is the most difficult thing with high school teams, finding consistency. I feel we’ll have that this season. … We will be successful this season if our pitching is as deep as we think it may be going into the regular season. If we can keep our top 5 to 6 guys healthy, it will allow for us to win a lot of baseball games.”
