2023-2024 Season Snapshot
Madison Mohawks
The father-son co-head coach duo of Brian and Tommy McGuire mans the helm once again. This is the 12th season the McGuire’s have been in charge, and they have a 158-119 coaching record.
The Mohawks went 16-7 last season and were the Southwestern Buckeye League West Division champs.
Returning starters include senior forward Kylie Wells, senior guard Emily Webb and junior guard Malerie Bobbitt. Wells averaged 11.7 points and 9.7 rebounds a game last season. Webb averaged 8.2 points and 4.0 rebounds a game, while Bobbitt chipped in with 3.7 points and 2.0 assists.
“We have a mix of experience and well-skilled youth,” Brian McGuire said. “We expect our bench to be deeper than in the past — going nine to 10 players deep.
“We will play faster this year than we have in the past, because of our depth and skill. We are expecting to finish in the top half of a very strong SWBL West.”
